FUDGE OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. reg. oatmeal
2 c. chocolate chips (16 oz.)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream brown sugar, butter, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Blend in flour, salt, baking soda and oatmeal. Press half of dough into greased 9 x 13 inch jelly roll or cake pan.

On low, heat chocolate chips, condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter. Remove from heat and add nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread this over first oatmeal layer. Top chocolate layer with remaining oatmeal dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes.
