I tried this recipe thinking it would be fast. Not only was it fast, but it was really tasty!! My teens ate it like they were starving. Only change I made was I added fresh mushrooms about 2 hours before it was done.

WOW! This recipe is great! And EASY! Even my extremely picky 4 year old couldn't get enough. I used condensed golden mushroom (instead of cream of mushroom), and I didn't mix it like I was making soup; I just poured it straight out of the can right on top and cooked it for 10 hours. AMAZING! A new family favorite!

This is a great recipe but instead of water use a 10 oz. can of Pepsi... oh my gosh... so deeelicious!

I make this recipe all the time. The only thing I change is to use a little less water so the gravy is thicker. And I put in a couple of tablespoons of Worchestershire Sauce. It is a family favorite and so easy to make!

I'm commented while eating some leftover pot roast right now. My mom has been making this for YEARS, I LOVE IT, and now I make it for my family. Everyone whose ever tried it LOVES it over a "traditional" roast. I like to add fresh onion, mushroom, and green beans! Near the end of the cook time. The gravy is excellent over mashed potatoes (or green beans) I've actually made a green bean casserole using this mixture of mushroom and onion soup as well!

I agree, this is delicious. But have you ever tried it with Golden Mushroom Soup? Even better and prettier gravy.

I love this recipe, especially for Sunday dinner. The only change I made is that I used Lipton's beefy onion soup mix. The gravy is so delicious.

This is a delicious, easy recipe that everyone loves. Instead of using water, I combine beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup packet, and Worcestershire and pour it over the meat. Delicious! Be sure that to cook the meat long enough to break down the connective tissue for optimum tenderness.

I have made this too but I make mine in the oven wrapped in aluminum foil. Cook about 30 minutes per pound and I use Golden Mushroom soup and you think you have died and gone to Heaven!
