ORIENTAL PEA PODS AND CARROTS 
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. cornstarch
Dash of crushed red pepper
2 medium carrots, thin bias sliced
4 tsp. water
16 oz. frozen pea pods
4 tbsp. broken walnuts
2 tsp. butter

Stir water, soy sauce, cornstarch, and crushed pepper. Microwave, uncovered, on 100% power for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes until thick, stirring every 30 seconds. Place carrots in casserole. Sprinkle with 4 teaspoons water; cook, covered, on 100% power for 4 minutes; drain. Toss carrots, pea pods, and walnuts. Add butter; cook at 100% power about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. Toss with soy mixture.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
