PECAN TARTS 
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 c. chopped pecans
Cream Cheese Patty Shells

Combine first 6 ingredients in a small saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until mixture is melted and well blended. Fill each patty shell 1/2 full with filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Yield: about 15 tarts.

CREAM CHEESE PATTY SHELLS:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. flour

Combine cream cheese and butter; cream until smooth. Add flour, mixing well. Refrigerate dough at least 2 hours. Shape dough into 15 balls; put each ball into a greased 1 3/4" muffin tin, shaping into a shell. Yield: 15 patty shells.
