ITALIAN MEAT SAUCE 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 med. onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) tomato paste
4 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. oregano
1 3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 bay leaf

Makes about 4 cups, enough for 4 servings spaghetti.
