SAVORY POTATO CASSEROLE | |
1/2 c. firm butter 1 c. Bisquick 1 c. wheat germ 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cut butter into remaining ingredients thoroughly. Spread in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake uncovered until golden brown 18 to 20 minutes. Stir with fork to crumble; cool. Store in lightly covered container in refrigerator. CASSEROLE: 1 1/2 c. savory crunch 2/3 c. thinly sliced green onions 2 lbs. unpared potatoes, thinly sliced (approx. 4 large potatoes) 1/4 c. butter melted Heat oven to 400 degrees. Layer half of onions and potatoes in ungreased rectangular baking dish. Repeat. Drizzle with butter. Cover and bake until potatoes are tender 30 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle savory crunch evenly over top; bake uncovered 10 minutes longer. Makes 8 servings. |
