BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. dry navy beans
2 c. chili sauce
1 tbsp. dry mustard
5 strips bacon, chopped
1 c. maple syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 med. onion, chopped

Soak beans overnight; drain. Add remaining ingredients and enough water to cover beans. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours or until soft (when beans smash easily). Remove 1 cup cooked beans and mash them. Add to remaining beans to thicken. 8 servings.
