BLACK - BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
1 ( 8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg, unbeaten
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Combine in mixing bowl. Beat well. Stir in 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces. Sift:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda

1 c. water
1/3 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat well. Fill muffin cups 1/3 full with chocolate batter. Top each with 1 to 2 teaspoons cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
