BLACK BOTTOM CAKE OR CUPCAKES 
TOPPING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Blend in blender and set aside.

CAKE:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. cooking oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat these together.

For Cake: Grease 9 inch square pan. Fill with chocolate batter. Drop cheese mixture by tablespoonfuls over cake. Bake 350 degrees, 45 minutes, or until done.

For Cupcakes: Fill paper cups 1/2 full of chocolate batter. Top with 1 tablespoon of cheese mixture. Bake 350 degrees, 30-35 minutes.
