FAYE'S MISSISSIPPI PECAN PIE
1 c. light corn syrup
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3 slightly beaten eggs
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coarsely broken pecans
1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked

Place sugar, syrup, butter, and beaten eggs in heavy pot on low to medium heat. Stir often to keep from burning. After butter has melted, remove from heat and add pecans and vanilla. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees to 375 degrees until pie is completely puffed across top. (Note: This makes too much for one pie, so the recipe can be doubled to make three pies.)
