ANGEL BISCUITS | |
1 pkg. yeast 1/4 c. warm water Set aside for 12 minutes. 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/8 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. buttermilk Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening as for pie dough; stir in buttermilk and yeast. Knead lightly. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Let rise a little after putting in greased pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees. |
