NEVER-A-STALE DOUGHNUT FRENCH
TOASTED
 
Use stale cake or raised leftover doughnuts. Slice each in halves. For each 2 doughnuts mix 1 egg plus 1 ounce milk in dish. Dip each 1/2 of doughnut in egg mixture, fry in non-stick skillet with 1 teaspoon oil or butter, low heat as you would French toast. Wonderful topped with sliced fresh fruit, all fruit preserves or maple syrup.
