FRENCH BAKED DOUGHNUTS 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar; add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Grease muffin tins WELL; fill 1/2 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Loosen and flip out of pan.

While still warm, dip in 6 tablespoons melted butter and then dip in a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Makes about 12 (recipe may be doubled).

My family loves these! I bake them in miniature muffin tins at holiday time.
