FRENCH BAKED DOUGHNUTS 
5 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well. Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Fill greased muffin pans half full. Bake 350°F for 25 minutes.

While still hot brush with melted butter and dip into mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
