I was pretty skeptical at first, weird sounding recipe, but I JUST made some, and OMG they are fantastic. I made them with 1 1/2 cup PB and 1 cup sugar and 1 extra large egg. Perfection indeed.

Hi Erica (Texas), I used Smart Balance Chunky and they came out terrific. I followed other posted advice & used 1/4 cup cane sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1t vanilla and 1 tbsp. flour. This recipe is so good and easy. My 18 yr old son who doesn't compliment anything said they were good, hence the 5 stars just for hearing those words from him!!

Can you use the peanut butter with nuts?

I have a batch of these in the oven now, this is the first easy recipe that I've used and it came out perfect. Very straightforward. I'm a new wife and my new hubby smells them and thinks I've gone through a lot of trouble for him ;) Love it!

I have been making a very similar recipe for quite a few years now, the only thing I do differently is use light brown sugar instead of granulated, add 1 tsp. of baking soda, and I love breaking up Reeses Peanut butter cups and adding. I mix all ingredients up before adding the candy, and believe it or not, for some reason, the over-powering sugar is masked. This is my favorite peanut butter cookie recipe (only with the Reeses) otherwise, they're too sweet for me also.

I was unsure about these cookies because of the texture after 10-12 minutes. They taste wonderful though! I wonder though, is anyone else's rather crumbly? Mine tend to fall apart in my hands.

For a school friendly alternative I used Soy Butter instead of peanut butter. Just as easy to make

Wonderful recipe. Found this on the back of a peanut butter jar one year, and have recently rediscovered it when looking for something a little more protein diet friendly for my father in law. I love this recipe, cause it's so simple I can do a plain batch for him, then throw in choc chips for the rest of the family. Also super delish with slivered almonds, peanut butter chips (for an extra suprising kiss of peanut butter sweetness), or toffee chips! Always a five star in my book!
