ONION BREAD 
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast

Sprinkle yeast over water in a large bowl. Stir to dissolve. 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. oil 2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/2 c. wheat germ 1 1/2 c. unbleached enriched flour

Add to dissolved yeast. Beat at medium speed in electric mixer for two minutes or 300 strokes by hand.

Add by hand. Let rise in warm place about 1 hour until double in bulk. Beat with spoon about 30 seconds. Spread in a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Pat top into shape with a floured hand. Cover with towel and let rise about 10 minutes, or until batter is about 1/2 inch from top of pan. 2 tbsp. melted butter

Separate onion into rings. Dip each ring in melted butter and place on top of loaf. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 1 large loaf.
