BETTY'S ONION-DILLY BREAD 
2 1/2 to 3 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. minced onion
2 tsp. dill weed
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. creamed cottage cheese
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1 egg
Additional soft butter

Combine in a large bowl 1 cup flour with sugar, onion, dill, salt, soda and yeast. In a saucepan, heat cottage cheese, water and 1 tablespoon butter. Add egg and warm mixture to flour mixture and beat on low speed until moistened. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in rest of flour by hand. Cover. Let rise until doubled. Stir down. Turn into greased bread pan. Cover and let rise 35 to 40 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Brush with butter.
