COWBOY BEANS 
2 lbs. hamburger
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
4 tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. pepper
1 (17 oz.) can lima beans
1 lb. bacon, fried and drained
1 onion, chopped
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. barbecue sauce
4 tbsp. mustard
2 tsp. salt
1 (31 oz.) can pork & beans
1 (17 oz.) can red beans

Saute hamburger and onion. Drain, if necessary. Add all the seasonings. Drain the cans of beans of liquid and add to meat mixture. Crumble bacon and stir into meat. Put in casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, covered. Uncover and bake 30 minutes more. This is great for family dinners.

This is the best my family has ever tried! I do substitute butter beans for limas and add a can of great northern beans. the variety gives you something different in every bite. I will pass this on to all my children and grandchildren.
