BAKED CARROTS | |
The natural sweetness of carrots is fully developed with this method of cooking. 4 lg. carrots 1 tbsp. oil 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. bread crumbs & sesame meal or 1/2 c. whole-grain cracker crumbs Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut carrots in half crosswise, then quarter each piece lengthwise. Toss with oil. Put crumb mixture in paper bag. Shake carrots in bag to coat. Place in single layer in greased baking dish. Cover tightly. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. |
