BAKED INDIAN PUDDING 
3 c. milk
3 tbsp. Indian meal
1/3 c. molasses
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Scald 3 cups milk. Mix together Indian meal and molasses and stir into hot milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients, except 1 cup milk, and mix well. Pour into baking dish and put in 300 degree oven. In 1/2 hour, pour the milk over it and continue baking for 2 hours.
