MEATBALL CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cracker crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. milk
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can mushroom soup (undiluted)
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. salad oil
1/2 c. chili sauce

Combine first 7 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Combine milk and soup, add half this mixture to meat mixture and mix well. Form meat into balls. Dip in flour and brown on all sides in not oil. Place meatballs in a 2 quart casserole.

Combine chili sauce and remaining soup mixture, pour over meatballs. (If you plan to freeze casserole, cool, cover and freeze at this stage.) Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
