GREEN CHILE VERDE | |
3 to 4 lb. pork roast 1 onion chopped, saute in with pork Brown pork and onions in pot until nice and brown. Add: 1 1/2 tsp. cumin Salt and pepper to taste 1 (7 oz.) can chopped green chiles 2 chiles from Ortega's or any other brand that is hot When mixture is thoroughly browned add about 3 to 5 tablespoons flour. Mix the flour into mixture and then add 1 to 2 cups water. This will make a thick sauce. Cook in crock pot until tender. I usually cook for about 6 to 8 hours on low. If the sauce is too thick, more water can be added. |
