APPLE CRUMB PIE | |
1 (9-inch) prepared pie crust 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced 2/3 c. packed light brown sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg Topping: 1/2 c. light brown sugar 3/4 c. flour 1/3 c. butter, softened In large bowl, combine apples, with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Place in pie shell. Cut topping ingredients together and sprinkle over top of pie. Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 60 to 70 minutes. Place on foil in oven. Cover pie loosely with piece of foil halfway through baking to prevent over browning. |
