OVEN-BARBECUED PORK RIBS 
Vegetable cooking spray
4 lbs. country style pork ribs
1/2 c. dry sherry
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seeds
1 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
2 c. water
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lemon, thinly sliced (optional), garnish only
Parsley sprigs (optional), garnish only

Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot. Brown ribs on both sides. Add sherry and 1/2 cup water. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

Combine remaining ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan. Simmer, uncovered, over medium heat 1 hour. Transfer ribs to a 13x9x2-inch baking dish; pour sauce over ribs. Bake, uncovered, at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Garnish with lemon slices and parsley if desired. Yield: 6 servings.
