1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c sifted flour (cake) all purpose
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream shortening and sugar well; add eggs, 1 at a time and mix well after each egg. Sift all ingredients with flour, add milk gradually. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 45 minutes or until done.
