F.'S CHOP SUEY 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak
1 med. onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, sliced
Soy sauce
Salt & pepper
2 sm. cans mushrooms (we prefer home-picked)

Brown steak well on both sides in small amount of shortening. Cut into small pieces; put in large pot. Cover with water; cook for at least 1/2 hour. Add celery, onion and seasonings, mushrooms. Add about 5 tablespoons soy sauce or more, to taste. Cook until meat is well done (approximately 1 hour). Thicken juice with 2 or more tablespoons cornstarch in small amount of water. Serve over cooked rice.
