BOURBON SAUCE FOR ICE CREAM 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
1 c. white sugar

Mix and boil until it "spins a thread." Add to this mixture:

1 c. strawberry preserves
Juice from 1 lemon
Grated lemon rind
1 c. nuts (pecans or English walnuts or both)
1 orange in sm. sections
Grated orange rind
1/2 c. bourbon

Refrigerate until it ripens. Will keep a long time.
