CONEY ISLAND SAUCE 
1 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. butter
2 onions
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

Combine in pan and brown; keep stirring to separate meat. Push meat to one side and spoon off excess grease. When mixture has completely browned, add: 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 2 tbsp. chili powder 6 oz. can tomato sauce 6 oz. water 4 to 5 ground up hot dogs

Combine above and cook until mixture thickens.
