1 lb. ground beef, crumbled 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/4 c. catsup 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. cayenne 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Makes 2 cups. In a 2-quart casserole, microwave the beef and onions at High for 4 to 7 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink, stirring to break apart once or twice during cooking time. Drain. Add the remaining ingredients. Microwave at High for 6 to 10 minutes or until the mixture is hot and the flavors are blended, stirring once or twice during cooking time. Serve as a topping for hot dogs or polish sausage. Total cooking time is 10 to 17 minutes. |
