MAC DAVIS'S SEMI-MEXICAN GOULASH 
3 tbsp. butter
4 lg. mushrooms, sliced
1/2 tsp. salt
Garlic powder to taste
1/2 c. wine
Cheese, shredded
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 scant tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 can mushroom soup
Tortilla chips

Saute onion and mushrooms. Add ground beef, brown well. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Add 1/2 cup wine; turn to high to reduce liquid. Stir in one can mushroom soup. Turn heat to medium, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with cheese just to melt. Serve over tortilla chips. Accompany with corn bread and butter.
