BUTTERSCOTCH SQUARES 
6 oz. butterscotch morsels
1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)
1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts, if desired

Melt butterscotch chips with butter. Remove from heat and add brown sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes; then add vanilla and eggs. Then add flour, baking powder and salt. Stir well; add nuts if desired. Bake in lightly greased 9 x 9 inch container at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool. Cut in small squares. Makes 24.
