APPLE WALNUT SUPREME CAKE 
4 c. coarsely chopped peeled apples
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. Crisco oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted reg. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine apple and sugar; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, mix eggs, oil, and vanilla; beat 1 minute at medium speed. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with apple mixture. Stir in walnuts. Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes, until cake tests done with a toothpick. Do not under bake.

GLAZE:

1 c. confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. corn syrup

Blend ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cake.
