LAYERED NOODLE SPINACH DISH | |
4 oz. med. noodles (I used 7 oz.) 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen, chopped or leaf spinach 3 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 lb. Gruyere cheese, grated (I used 1/4 lb. Cheddar & 1/4 lb. Jack cheese, grated instead) 1/4 tsp. paprika 1/8 tsp. white pepper 1 c. milk Cook and drain noodles, then cook and drain spinach, white sauce with butter, flour, salt, paprika, pepper and milk. Remove sauce from heat and stir in spinach. Grease a 8 x 12 x 2 inch pan. Layer half of the cheese, all of the spinach & white sauce, the half noodles and the remaining half of cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until bubbly. |
