STRAWBERRY GLAZE PIE 
Baked pie shell
1 1/2 qts. strawberries
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch or sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. heavy cream, whipped (optional)
2 tbsp. powdered sugar (optional)

Hull, wash and drain berries. Crush enough to make 1 cup. Combine sugar and cornstarch. Add crushed berries and water. Cook until mixture is thick and clear. Remove from heat. Add butter and cool. Place whole berries into pie shell. Pour cooked mixture on top. Chill 2 hours. Serve with whipped cream sweetened with powdered sugar.
