MAUDE'S ITALIAN MEATBALL SOUP 
1 egg
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
4 tbsp. parsley
4 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c. diagonally cut carrots
2/3 c. uncooked macaroni
1/2 tsp. crushed basil leaves
1/3 c. diced pimentos
3 or 4 whole tomatoes
4 c. water

Thoroughly mix egg, beef, onion, parsley, Parmesan, and salt and pepper to taste. Shape mixture into 48 to 50 tiny meatballs and fry in a large frying pan until brown. Pour off the fat and add the remaining ingredients, except macaroni. Cook and bring to boil. Reduce heat and add macaroni, then cook until tender.
