PECAN BRITTLE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. pecans

Mix 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup white syrup in casserole. Put lid on it and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Take out and stir. Cook 4 more minutes until golden brown. Take out and add 1 teaspoon butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Blend and add pecans. Microwave 2 more minutes. Take out and add 1 teaspoon baking soda. Stir, then pour in buttered cookie sheet. Cool, then bread in pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
