3/4 c. shortening
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 3/4 c. rolled oats
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nut meats

Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Add crushed bananas, then sifted dry ingredients. Add oatmeal and nut meats. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonsful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in hot 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes.

Makes about 4 dozen cookies. These will freeze well. Cool before freezing.
