PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
TOPPING:

1/4 to 1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar

Melt butter and mix with brown sugar. Spread on bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries (if desired) in pan.

CAKE:

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. milk

Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Add flour, baking soda and milk. Pour mixture into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
