CANDY COATED NUTS | |
1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. walnut or pecan halves Butter sides of heavy 1 quart saucepan. In it mix 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and a 1/2 cup dairy sour cream. Stir until sugar melts. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until mixture begins to thicken. Add 2 1/2 cups of walnut or pecan halves; stir until well coated. Turn out onto greased cookie sheet, separate. Chill. Makes 1 pound. |
