SALAD WITH PECANS | |
1 head butter lettuce 2 bunches red leaf lettuce 2 cans mandarin oranges, drained 1 (6 oz.) pkg. pecans, sauteed 1 can French fried onion rings DRESSING: 1 c. oil 1/4 onion 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 5 tbsp. sugar 1 c. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. celery seed Tear lettuce; drain mandarins. Saute pecans. The lettuce ingredients can be put in a bowl ahead of time but do not mix. In a blender, mix all dressing ingredients, except vinegar and celery seed. Add vinegar and celery seed and mix 30 seconds. Also it makes lots of dressing. Use about half. |
