CHICKEN CACCIATORA | |
2 1/2 to 3 lb. broiler 2 med. onions, cut in 1/4 2 cloves garlic 1 (2 lb.) can tomatoes 1 (8 oz.) seasoned tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. olive oil 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. oregano or basil 1-2 bay leaves 1/4 c. sauterne Cut up chicken; heat olive oil in skillet. Add chicken and brown slowly. Remove chicken from skillet. Cook onions and garlic in oil. Add other ingredients and chicken. Cook uncovered for 20 minutes. |
