SPICED APPLE & CRANBERRIES
RELISH
 
1 c. sugar, approx.
1 c. water, approx.
2 c. cranberries
2 c. water
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 sticks cinnamon
8 lg. apples

Combine first 2 ingredients and boil for 5 minutes. Add 2 cups cranberries and simmer until skins pop open. Cool and refrigerate.

Combine 2 cups water, 2 sticks of cinnamon and cook 10 minutes; add 8 large peeled and sliced apples. Simmer until apples are tender. Cool and mix with cranberries. (Try to use Winesap, Jonathan or Rhone apples.)
