KENTUCKY BOURBON CAKE 
5 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. mace
2 c. bourbon
2 c. red candied cherries
1 c. white raisins
2 c. sugar
3 sticks butter
1 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs
2 c. pecans, broken
2 c. green candied cherries

Cut cherries into halves in covered bowl. Add raisins and bourbon, let stand overnight, shaking occasionally.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time and beat until creamy. Add flour, baking powder and mace. Mix well then add cherries and raisins and vanilla; fold in pecans.

Bake in greased floured tube pan at 275 degrees for 4 hours. Note: It may be necessary to add part of the bourbon off cherries in order to mix in flour.
