HAM AND POTATO CASSEROLE | |
Use a 1-pound slice of ham cut about 1/2 inch thick, or 2 cups leftover cooked ham. Pan fry in 1 tablespoon bacon drippings until brown, then place in the bottom of a well-buttered casserole. Pare and slice thin 6 or 8 medium potatoes and arrange over the ham. Make 1 1/2 cups medium white sauce and pour hot over the potatoes. Bake in slow 325 degree oven about 1 hour. Cover casserole the first 1/2 hour, then remove cover the remainder of baking time. |
