CHEESE GRITS | |
4 c. water 1 c. quick cooking grits 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt, optional 2 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. milk 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Bring water to a boil in medium saucepan; stir in grits, seasoning salt and butter. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until grits are done, about 10 to 15 minutes. Combine milk, egg and cheese and stir into grits. Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Bake at 375 degree oven for 15 minutes. Makes 6 servings. |
