CHERRITY BARS 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter

Mix together and put in a 9x13 pan. Bake 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees. Stir once while baking. When golden brown firmly press mixture in pan.

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 c. powdered sugar
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

In medium bowl blend first 3 filling ingredients until smooth. Add Cool Whip. Fold in pie filling. Spread filling over the crust. Chill 1-2 hours before serving.
