FETTUCINI ALFREDO 
1/2 lb. fettucini, cook al dente
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 c. half and half
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

I also add some garlic but it's really up to your own personal taste.

Melt butter and add half and half. Pour heated mixture over cooked fettucini; toss. Add cheese, salt and pepper. Heat and stir until cheese is melted and creamy.
