1 Duncan Hines angel food cake mix 1/2 gallon strawberry ice cream (or other flavor) Cool Whip Mix the cake as directed on the package. Divide batter into 2 jelly roll pans lined with tin foil. Bake for 7 minutes or until lightly brown at the temperature indicated on the box. Remove from pan with foil and let cool. Remove the foil. Slice 1/2 gallon of ice cream into 1/2-inch thick slices and cover cake. Roll up as jelly roll and pat any broken spots smooth. Freeze. After it is frozen, frost with Cool Whip and freeze again. Yield: 2 jelly rolls. |
