EVERYBODY'S FAVORITE FRUIT -
JELLO TRIFLE
 
Make ahead:

2 sm. pkg. Jello (I use no sugar) with different flavors or 1 lg.

Drain the following (do not mix together) :

1 lg. can lite sliced peaches
1 lg. can lite sliced pears
1 lg. can lite chunk pineapple

In large glass bowl or if available "trifle" bowl do as follows:

1. Cut up angel cake into small pieces and place on bottom of dish.

2. Layer slices of drained peaches.

3. Layer cubed or broken up pieces of Jello.

4. Layer of sliced pears.

5. Layer of lite Cool Whip

6. Layer of angel cake pieces.

7. Layer of pineapple chunks.

8. Layer of Jello.

9. Layer of Cool Whip.

10. If desired top with fresh sliced or whole strawberries.

For 4th of July, I top with blueberries and strawberries in a "flag" pattern.

For Christmas, the Cool Whip may be tinted red/green to coincide with Jello.

This should set covered in refrigerator (I do it night before) until time to serve. Pretty to look at, as well as light and delightful to eat!!
