PUSLICE (MERINGUE KISSES) 
3 egg whites (1/2 c.)

Beat egg whites until frothy. For each egg white add 4 tablespoons sugar (12). Add 2 teaspoons vinegar. Beat until stiff, 1/2 hour on high. Cut 2 cups walnuts in large pieces. Fold nuts into stiff egg whites. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour. Turn off oven and let cool in oven for 1 hour.

This was one of the old country cookies my mother made every Christmas. Her mother brought wonderful cookie recipes when she came to America. Mom would also add one half a maraschino cherry to the top. Mom would grind the nuts. Do not recall them in large chunks. Very similar to your recipe.

2 egg whites
1 tbsp. vinegar
12 tbsp. sugar
2 cups ground nuts
Maraschino cherries

Beat whites with vinegar and sugar. Add some nuts.
Drop by tablespoon onto a floured (not greased) baking
sheet and bake 300°F for 12 minutes. Top with a half of a
cherry before baking.
